• Home Care
These companies provide non-medical services including personal care and companionship helping to promote activities of daily living (ADL’S). This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, walking assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and transportation, medication reminders, laundry, grocery shopping, care for pets and plants, 24hr sitter services, and Live-ins. Some homecare companies offer skilled care as well.
• Transportation Services
Companies offering transport service to hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and much more. Transportation can be provided as a chauffer service, vans to support a wheelchair transport or non-emergency ambulance service including a stretcher.
• Respite Care
Short-term or temporary care of a few hours or days for a sick or disabled person to provide relief, or respite, to the regular caregiver, usually a family member. Assisted living, adult day care and Home care services often provide this temporary care.
• Alzheimer’s/ Dementia Care
Programs and/or facilities offering specialized programs for clients/residents living with Alzheimer’s/dementia, or any other form of memory loss. These programs can be offered by Senior Residential Companies, Assisted Living, Nursing Facilities or in an Adult Day Care Centers.
• Relocation/ Down-sizing Services
Companies and their partners that offer seniors resources to relocate, liquidate and downsize into a smaller home, facility, or move in with a family member. |
